My path to meditation was born out of necessity and curiosity. As an entrepreneur in the fast-paced world of cybersecurity and as mom of two children, I found myself constantly running from one challenge to the next, always in a state of high alert – much like the systems we were protecting. It was during this time that I realized I was living in what I now call a ‘panic room’ – a state of constant stress and reactivity.
The science is key in reaching others about the meditation process and its tremendous benefits. If people experience benefits in conjunction with having the science to back it up, they gain a greater level of understanding and experience. InnerScience is the fast track to providing this knowledge.
As a kid I struggled with various health challenges, especially gut issues, allergies, and headaches. I tried Western medicine with little results. Eventually I started researching on my own and tried all sorts of diets to improve my health, and I learned about the concept of epigenetics, which meant to me that I might actually be able to overcome these issues by modifying something in my life, and I thought it was all about diet. I became obsessed with diets and food for several years and struggled because this is only a part of the picture.
I had been participating in medicine work-communities and found many of the practitioners to be self-promoters and trying to be gurus and charging exorbitant amounts to access the same spaces you can access through meditative practices.
